◇4. Finally, the experience

On the day, the staff will first give you a detailed explanation about the noodle making experience.

◇5. Add irrigation water

Once you’ve finished the instructions, start by adding water to the noodle machine.

◇6.Flour blend

In the Gion noodle workshop, we use a blend of two types of flour. The noodle machine kneads the noodles thoroughly, so you can rest assured.

◇7. Roll out the dough into a strip

Once the two types of flour have been thoroughly mixed, the dough is rolled out into a strip. This process must be repeated three times to create chewy noodles. Then, the dough is tightly rolled into the noodle machine.

◇8. Dust with flour

Sprinkle flour on the noodles to prevent them from sticking together. The key is to sprinkle the flour wrapped in a cloth onto the dough by gently patting it on the surface.

◇9. Cutting the noodles

The final step of the noodle making experience is cutting out the noodles. The noodles coming out of the noodle making machine are bundled together. They come out with a lot of force, so be sure to pick them up quickly so they don’t get stuck. There are three different thicknesses of noodles.

◇10. Compare and taste three different types of noodles

Once the noodles are made, it’s time to taste them. There are three different thicknesses, each with a different texture and flavor. It’ll be fun to compare them and see which thickness you like best.

◇11. Try the Musoshin Ramen

Once you’ve finished your noodle making experience and compared the different varieties, you can finally sample the ramen made by the craftsmen at Musoshin Gion store. Take your time to savor the freshly made Musoshin ramen.
